Woodworker's Apprentice (artistic background)
Seeking apprentice for small shop specializing in custom made furniture and doors. On the job training for the right candidate. Traditional woodworking training from design to finish. Ideal candidate will have background in fine arts, design, architecture or other spacial reasoning experience. Woodworking experience considered, but not required. Painting or spray finishing experience a plus. CAD or web design experience would set a candidate apart from the field. Must be physically able to handle plywood and heavy workpieces. Must be able to operate independently and take charge of delegated tasks. Training period starts @ $9/ hr. $15/hr after the first year. Quarterly bonuses based on performance.
